Talk Schedule
Join the Festivities!
JSConf EU is all about the community and we don’t stop at the festivities. Like in all previous years, we have a bunch of parties and a brunch prepared to celebrate this year’s JSConf EU, CSSConf EU, Reject.js & NodeCopter.
We want to make sure the whole Berlin developer scene (that is you!), not just the event’s attendees get to hang out with all the great people that make their way to Berlin this week.
So, as usual, our Parties and Relax.js are open for all!
In detail:
Reject.JS After Party, Thursday, September 12th,19:30
Tarantino’s Bar | Brunnenstraße 163 | 10119 Berlin | Map |
Free for all, drinks are on you, if you don’t have a Reject.js badge.
The next three ones are included for all JSConf EU attendees, but everyone else is invited. The parties are all-inclusive and we need to ask you to register for a ticket if you do not already have a conference ticket. It’s just 12€ incl. VAT for all parties (single party tickets aren’t available as they wouldn’t be any cheaper :).
Bring your friends!

Co.Up is open to JSConf EU Attendees
Our friends at co.up are for you all to hang out and hack. co.up is a friendly community coworking space and the home of @berlinjs.
For JSConf attendees who need a place to work, hack, or just want to hang out & meet people, co.up will be open & waiting for you all week, starting from 10:00! Please come up to the top floor & introduce yourself so we can help get you set up. See you then!
Awesome & Thanks!
Frank Sent Us @ JSConf EU.
We’re super happy to announce that FRANK SENT US will play a live audio-visual extravaganza at our Saturday party. Put your dancing shoes on! This is what they say about themselves:
FSU is a sound and visual orgy for the soul. A clever pastiche that translates energy when seen live. They create a live audio video mash-up through real time mix of both media. The video is cut up and played like a musical instrument supported by the rock sounds of live guitar and bass.
A guide for occasional visitors to Berlin
Awesome Morgan Roderick has published this great guide Geeks, welcome to Berlin with lots of useful tips about accomodation, getting around, to and from the airport, getting a data SIM card, finding food and drinks etc.
Things to do while in Berlin
Our friends from CSSconf.eu have published an excellent guide for things to do while you’re in Berlin. It applies equally well for JSConf, of course :)
In case you’re looking for something to do on the Friday before JSConf – CSSconf still has a few tickets available.
Get the JSConf/CSSconf EU combo ticket!
Tickets are completely and irrevocably sold out, but we do have one more chance to get the ultimate conference fix: The JSConf/CSSconf EU combo ticket!
CSSconf.eu is a conference dedicated to the designers, developers and engineers who build the world’s most engaging user interfaces. It happens the day before JSConf and happens to be in Berlin as well :)
Talks at CSSconf include:
- XSS: Cross-site styling
- Maths-powered transforms for creating 3D shapes
- … and “Pooping out CSS”
The speaker lineup at CSSconf.eu is pretty awesome and among others includes Chris Eppstein, the creator of SASS, Nicole Sullivan, Angelina Fabbro, etc.

A few more tickets for sale!
Update: Last chance to get a ticket here.
After planning the table and chair layout for this year we realized we could fit a few more people – so we decided to sell a very limited number of additional tickets.
The price will be (€699 + VAT + Fee) = €849, which means you’ll pay a slightly higher percentage of the actual cost compared to the regular sale.
The sale starts Wednesday, Aug 14 18:00 CEST – that is 9am Pacific.
Tickets will be sold through Tito and again Paypal will be the only payment option (yes, we’re still painfully sorry about that).
We’ve also started releasing info about the 2013 speakers and will continue to do so in the coming days!

Hotel Recommendation
We recommend you stay with Ibis Ostbahnhof. Not because it is the best hotel around (it isn’t!), but because it is literally right next to our venue – as in the next house. After JSConf in the US has started using resorts as their destination in 2012 we realized how great it is to have everybody in a single place, so we did the best we could given that Berlin is neither Arizona nor Florida :)
Still we’re going to try to have a campfire at the conference and with the hotel right next door, you can stay late and still only fall over twice to get to your bed. Of course, this is also the same hotel where all speakers and staff will be staying.
The room rates with the JSConf EU code are:
- Single Room - 81 €
- Double Room - 101 €
- Triple Room - 126 €
Reviews say the rooms are smallish, so you may want to consider a double room even if you are by yourself.
The prices include breakfast. The conference has breakfast (likely significantly better), so you may want to actually pick a rate that doesn’t have it. The rates do not include WIFI but it is available. In the worst case you may also be able to lean out of your room window and catch the conference WIFI :)
To book the room for the above rate call +4930257600 and mention the code MOS13. It does not work through online booking. You may also email h3108@accor.com CC info@marinaos.com to make a reservation.
If you really, really hate phone calls and emails, maybe the default online rates are fine, too :) .
After you booked, please let us know, so we have an idea how many of you are there.
This is how we spend your money
